Dean Transition

As we begin this journey to find a new dean, I would like to thank our current dean and wish him and Julie all of God’s blessings as they move on to their next adventure. As Dean Brian was gracious to give us plenty of notice before he leaves, we are able to define a well thought out search process.

It begins this week when Rev. Gary Jones returns to spend a month helping with the transition and to be with us while we envision the future for the Cathedral.

The next step is to have an interim dean beginning in September, to serve for six to nine months. Bishop Chandler is researching priests both inside and outside the diocese that might be a good fit. He will present his findings to the vestry in the near future.

This is where we are at this point. Your vestry is very dedicated and is prepared to lead us through the search for our next dean. We will continue to keep you informed as we move forward. If you have questions or suggestions please feel free to contact any of us.
