Dear Cathedral Family, Greetings during this warm summer season. Robbie Darnall, your Senior Warden, and I wanted to share with you the individuals who have graciously accepted our invitation to serve as members of the Search Committee for the next Dean of St. Matthew’s Cathedral. We are deeply grateful for their willingness to serve in this way during this important period in the life of the cathedral.
The role of this Search Committee is critical to the cathedral's future, as they together will be assisting us all in discerning whom God is calling to serve in Laramie to lead the cathedral into its future ministry, and toward living into the cathedral's fullest ministry potential. Please allow me to list the membership of the Search Committee.

Representatives from the Diocese: Rev. Canon Lara Gilbert (Canon for Spiritual Formation & Congregational Development, Dean of Wyoming Iona School) Rev. Jim Shumard (Rector, St. Mark's Church in Casper Additionally, Rev. Gary Jones, who is serving as our consultant during this transition period, and who has been preparing us for the interim time with Rev. Jami Anderson, who will be serving as our interim dean, will be facilitating the development of a Dean Search Profile, which we will be using for a national and even international search. In this regard, Rev. Jones will be in close communication with them early on, until the profile is complete.
For now, we wanted to simply be in touch to let you know who will be serving on the Search Committee. We are deeply grateful to them for their willingness to take on this strategic responsibility. Robbie Darnall and I look forward to taking this journey of discernment with them and all of you, as we commit this upcoming search into our Lord's hands.
In this regard, we are reminded of God's beautiful promise in Psalm 32:8 - "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." Please do feel free to reach out to Robbie Darnall with any questions you may have.
